Carne Asada is a classic Latin American grilled meat dish. Jay’s version calls for flank steak marinated in lime and orange juice, gluten-free soy sauce, canola oil, garlic, brown sugar, cumin, paprika, and chili powder. The steaks are grilled, sliced, and served over jasmine rice pilaf and topped with charred bell peppers, onions, and melty Cheddar-Jack cheese. Jay’s Rustic Tomato Salsa on the side. Serves 1 generous portion.

Kitchen Tip: We grill the carne asada to medium-rare. If you prefer medium-to-well done, reheat the meat in the oven or microwave a few minutes longer.
