Creole Shrimp and Chicken Jambalaya w/ Festive Rice and Beans (for 1)


Jay’s Shrimp and Chicken Jambalaya starts with a classic Creole sauce (made with crushed tomatoes, celery, onion, bell peppers, okra, garlic, parsley, thyme, paprika, and a trio of cayenne, black and white pepper). The piquant sauce slow cooks and simmers, then we add skillet shrimp and shredded chicken and let the sauce bubbly simmer and steep until the flavors meld together. Served over Festive Rice and Beans. 

*For a true jambalaya, reheat and stir the Creole shrimp and chicken mixture with the rice and beans all together in a skillet, then re-plate.
