New Orleans Shrimp and Cheddar Grits (for 1)


New Orleans Shrimp ‘n Cheddar Grits starts by making a piquant Creole sauce (with stewed tomatoes, celery, onion, bell peppers, garlic, and Cajun seasonings) and simmering together for a good hour. Next, make the cheddar grits by slow-cooking cornmeal and water (also for an hour) stirring frequently, and blend in shredded cheddar at the finish.
