Grilled Steak and Black Bean Chili with Sour Cream and Avocado (for 2)
Jay’s Grilled Steak and Black Bean Chili (inspired by San Francisco’s Fog City Diner) starts with a bodacious chili made with sauteed celery, onions, zucchini, and bell peppers, along with garlic, crushed tomatoes, chili powder (punched up with cumin, cayenne, and oregano) and black beans. Jay grills the steak, cubes it and layers over the top of the chili. This big bowl of red comes with fresh avocado and sour cream on the side. Not too spicy; just right!
