Grilled Steak Arrabbiata with Penne (for 2)
Arrabbiata sauce, or sugo all’arrabbiata in Italian, is a spicy pasta sauce. Jay’s family-friendly arrabbiata sauce calls for Italian plum tomatoes, sweet red peppers, onions, garlic, carrots, basil, and red pepper flakes. It all gets tossed with penne and then topped with a layer of grilled flank steak and shredded mozarrella cheese. Magnifico!
(Arrabbiata literally means “angry” in Italian; the name of the sauce refers to the spiciness of the chili peppers.)
