Gumbo Ya-Ya with Chicken, Andouille Sausage, Brown and Wild Rice (for 1+)


Jay’s Gumbo Ya-Ya is adapted from Chef Paul Prudhomme’s classic gumbo recipe. We start with a mirepoix of celery, onions, peppers, and garlic, and then we add stewed tomatoes, okra, brown and wild rice, red beans, organic chicken broth, and season the pot with black and white pepper, chili powder, parsley, thyme, a touch of cayenne, shredded chicken, and Andouille sausage.  The hearty pot simmers until just right. Serves 1+ #BAM!

*Traditional gumbo is thickened with roux, but ours is gluten-free so we’re skipping that step.
