Midnight Pasta with Grilled Steak, Jumbo Shrimp, and Sinatra’s Marinara (for 1)

Many years ago, every Christmas Jay visited his retired father in Vegas. Arriving around midnight on a cheap flight, Jay and his father would head straight to the casinos — not to gamble (ha!) but for the steak, lobster, and all-you-can-eat shrimp buffets. Feeling nostalgic, this week’s menu features Grilled Steak and skillet Jumbo Shrimp over Midnight Pasta (penne tossed with Sinatra’s classic Marinara Sauce.) We’ve adapted the recipe by adding mushrooms, carrots, and zucchini to the simmering sauce. Shredded mozzarella and parsley floated over/under the pasta at the photo finish. #LetItRide!

*Sinatra’s Marinara calls for Italian plum tomatoes, onions, garlic, oregano, fresh basil, and parsley, cooked long and slow over low heat.
