Nashville-Style Hot Chicken, Sweet Potato Wedges, Bleu Cheese Dip (for 2)

Jay’s version of Nashville Hot Chicken starts with brined boneless chicken (steeped in buttermilk, egg, paprika, and hot sauce.) The marinated chicken is shaken and dredged in flour, *seared in a skillet to give a crisp crust, and finished in the oven. Before serving, the chicken is brushed with a feisty glaze made with chili powder, garlic powder, paprika, cayenne pepper, brown sugar, and canola oil. Garnished with traditional pickles, roasted sweet potatoes. and Bleu cheese dip on the side. 

*Traditional Nashville Hot Chicken is fried (bone-in) and seasoned with about ten times more cayenne than we are using.
