Fog City Diner’s Grilled Steak and Black Bean Chili with Sour Cream (for 1)


Paying homage to an early pioneer of New American Cuisine (San Francisco’s Fog City Diner), Jay’s Grilled Flank Steak and Black Bean Chili starts by naming a robust chili with sauteed celery, onions, zucchini, and bell peppers, along with garlic, crushed and stewed tomatoes, black beans, and chili powder (punched up with cumin, cayenne, and parsley).  After plating, we top the bowl with slices of grilled, spice-rubbed flank steak.
