Sweet and Sour Tofu, Wok Seared Carrots, Onion, Pineapple, and Peppers, Brown Rice (for 1)


Jay’s  Sweet-and-Sour Tofu starts with making the classic sauce (with pineapple juice, rice vinegar, gluten-free soy, ketchup, ginger, garlic, and brown sugar.) Next, we roast cubes of tofu (with sesame oil and soy) and stir-fry the veggies (onions, carrots, red bell peppers, celery, with pineapple), and toss them with sauce and roasted tofu. Nutritious brown rice served on the side. Garnished with sesame seeds. 

 A corn starch slurry is used to thicken the sweet-and-sour sauce.
