Herb Tomato Bisque with Grilled Cheese Croutons (24 oz., for 2)


Jay’s Herb Tomato Bisque starts with a sofrito of sauteed onions, carrots, celery, and garlic, then we add San Marzano plum tomatoes, parsley, oregano thyme, basil, black pepper, and salt. The soup simmers on low for 2 hours and at the finish, light cream is swirled in. Grilled Cheese “Croutons” (made with multigrain bread and melty Muenster cheese) are served on the side. #YUM

FYI: For 13 years Jay operated Jay’s Hot Ticket Cafe inside Denver’s Center for Performing Arts where he served homemade soups, dinner bowls, panini, salads, fresh-baked cookies, and his signature Herb Tomato Bisque – which was always a hit!
