Jay’s ambitious lasagna starts by making Angus Beef Bolognese – a deeply flavored meat sauce prepared with San Marzano tomatoes, Angus ground beef, onion, carrots, wild mushrooms, garlic, red wine, milk, celery, fresh herbs, all slow-cooked and enriched for hours. Next up: a filling of mascarpone and ricotta cheese, mozzarella, and eggs (for binding). Lasagna is built one layer at a time: bolognese sauce, flat noodles, more sauce, cheese filling, noodles, repeat, and top with more sauce, parsley, and Parmesan. Served in an oven-ready baking tray.
